Normal Delivery / Painless Delivery
Most of the women desire to have a normal vaginal delivery. However, the current scenario shows In the past 10 years, the number of babies born in India through the Cesarean Sections (C-Sections) has doubled. In 2005-6, the country recorded 9% births via C-section; by 2015-16, the rate had increased to 18%, according to a series of papers published recently in The Lancet.
Cesarean Sections (C-Sections) should only be done when pregnancy-related complications could endanger the lives of the mother and the baby.
Making an informed decision is the responsibility of the couple as much as the doctors.Dr. Deepika has seen a rising number of women asking for a C-section even though there are no medical complications. Dr. Deepika is a firm believer that nature takes its own course and recommends normal delivery unless contraindicated
Some of the advantages of normal delivery over cesarean being.
- Shorter hospital stay and quicker recovery time
- AS vaginal birth is less surgically intensive and doesn't scar
- Any subsequent births are less likely to require a C-section as well as being quicker and shorter.
- Baby is more likely to be finished maturing and developing.
- Passing through the vaginal opening also expels the amniotic fluid in the baby's lungs .
- The baby also picks up protective bacteria that they ingest, helping them form more balanced immune systems as the bacteria colonizes in their intestines.
